Pillar jib crane
A floor-anchored pillar with a slewing jib serving a circular working area. The design is simple, inexpensive and quickly erected – but it needs a load-bearing foundation, because the whole tipping moment from load and outreach passes through the base into the floor. Where several stations are to be served as one area, a rail system is usually more economical.
