Hoist inspection and maintenance in Münsterland
Münsterland is the land of medium-sized companies: machine builders, food processors, plastics firms – often with a handful of hoists that nobody looks after full-time. Hamm borders the region directly.

In medium-sized companies hoists accumulate over the years: a chain hoist at the saw, a balancer in assembly, a jib crane in dispatch. Each is inconspicuous on its own; together they form a stock that must be inspected and maintained periodically – at intervals the operator sets in the risk assessment. What is often missing is simply the overview: which devices exist, when were they last inspected, where are the records?
Food processing adds cleaning. Wet cleaning and detergents attack chains, bearings and electrics more than operation itself; equipment in such areas needs shorter intervals and lubricants suited to the area. From our Hamm office the companies of Münsterland are a day trip away – we record the stock, inspect and maintain in one visit and hand over the documentation in order.

To the industryFrequently asked questions about inspection and maintenance
We are not sure which hoists are subject to inspection. Can you help?
Yes. It starts with an inventory: every hoist and lifting attachment with type, capacity, location and last inspection date. That becomes the list for all future inspections.
What applies to hoists in wet areas of food production?
Materials, ingress protection and lubricants must suit the environment, and intervals follow the cleaning regime, not only the running time. This is laid down in the risk assessment.
Do you maintain equipment from other manufacturers?
Yes. What matters is that the operating manual and spare parts are available. Where original parts are no longer supplied, we clarify beforehand whether repair or an upgrade is the right route.
Tell us what you have hanging.
Type, capacity, year of manufacture and last inspection date are enough to start. We will give you a date and what it covers.
