The Ruhr area is not a uniform place of work. In steel and metal processing, scale, grinding dust and heat attack chains, guides and brakes; there the environment sets the maintenance interval, not the calendar. Chemical sites add explosion protection: equipment in a hazardous zone is only repaired with parts that preserve its marking. In logistics, utilisation is what counts – many short cycles per shift consume the service life of a hoist faster than its year of manufacture suggests.
From Bochum and Hamm every town in the region is a day trip. That makes it possible to combine inspection and maintenance and to deal with all the equipment at one site in a single visit – including the documentation for the inspection records. We also maintain and inspect equipment we did not supply.

Do you inspect single devices, or only whole plants?
Both. It is economical to inspect all hoists and lifting attachments at a site in one visit; we take on a single device just the same.
What is different about equipment in hazardous zones?
Inspection and repair must preserve the explosion protection of the equipment: suitable spare parts, no change to the design, documentation of the work. Tell us the zone and the marking of the device in advance.
How quickly can you be on site after a breakdown?
That depends on the day and our workload; the journey itself is short within the Ruhr area. Call us – a phone call usually clarifies whether the device has to be taken out of service and which parts are needed.
