DGUV Regulation 52
The German accident prevention regulation for cranes. It governs construction, equipment, operation and inspection – including periodic inspection by a competent person at least once a year and inspection after substantial modifications. It does not apply directly to hand-guided manipulators and balancers; there the Industrial Safety Regulation and the manufacturer instructions apply.
