Headroom
The space a hoist occupies above the load and which is therefore lost to the stroke. In existing halls headroom is often the real constraint: sometimes only centimetres remain between the underside of the truss and the highest part position. Low-headroom lift axes and short-stroke units are the answer where a chain hoist with a hook no longer fits.
