Theoretical service life
The calculated operating life of a serial hoist up to a general overhaul, determined under FEM 9.755 from operating hours and load spectrum. Once reached, the unit is not used up – it has to be overhauled and the counter reset: strip the hoist, replace wear parts, overhaul brake and gearbox, load test, documentation. The same unit then runs another cycle at a fraction of the cost of a new one.
