Demoulding
Releasing a part from its mould or formwork. The timing is a compromise: early demoulding shortens the mould cycle, late demoulding protects the part. For handling this means the mount is sized to the strength at the moment of demoulding – fresh concrete or warm plastic permit different surface pressures from the cured part.
