Dead weight
The weight of gripper, beam and adapters added to the payload. It is regularly underestimated: a vacuum beam with six cups soon weighs 40 kg, a clamping gripper with a rotation axis more. Sizing counts the sum of payload and dead weight – and for the tipping moment both with their respective distance from the pivot.
