Mould and core parts
Move forming parts, cores and mould sections in the foundry and set them correctly.
Steel is the harshest environment handling technology knows: radiant heat, scale, dust, impact. Equipment that survives here is not the same as in an assembly hall – it is built heavier, sealed better and designed for a maintenance interval that matches the load.
Typical handling tasks in Steel & metallurgy — and what they demand technically.
Move forming parts, cores and mould sections in the foundry and set them correctly.
Exchange rolls, rollers and tools when setting up the line.
Carry samples, crucibles and test pieces from the process to the laboratory.
Present and attach heavy beams and slinging equipment.
Remove and refit drives, bearings and housing parts within the shutdown window.
Prepare coils, bundles and cut lengths for shipping.
The most common cause of failure for handling technology in steel is not overload but wear from abrasive dust in guideways and bearings. Encapsulation is therefore not an option here but the basic specification: sealed bearings, protected energy supply, bellows on linear axes. And a maintenance interval that comes from the actual load, not from a catalogue.
The structure of a manipulator copes with radiant heat easily. What fails is sensors, control and hoses. At elevated ambient temperatures we therefore move the sensitive parts out of the radiant zone or shield them – and select hose and seal materials for the actual temperature at the installation point, not for the hall temperature.
Honesty is part of sizing: our standard units cover the range up to 125 kilograms. For higher loads we design a special solution – or tell you that a crane with a lifting device is the right answer. A manipulator is not a crane substitute; it is the answer to the recurring movement at a fixed station.
The Ruhr region is our neighbourhood and heavy industry our starting point. We have been doing pipe stress analysis, safety devices and plant design for more than 25 years for operations where downtime is expensive. That shapes how we design: one size more rugged rather than one size more elegant.

ViewThe structure does; the control only with adaptation. We move sensitive components out of the radiant zone or shield them and select hose and seal materials for the temperature at the installation point. Tell us the measured temperature at the unit location, not the hall temperature.
Then we design a special solution or recommend a crane with a suitable lifting device. We will tell you openly where the manipulator is the right answer and where it is not.
More often than the catalogue says. Abrasive dust considerably shortens the service life of guideways and seals. We set the interval together with your maintenance team based on the actual load and write it into the operating instructions.
One short conversation usually settles more than three quotations. Call or write — you will reach an engineer directly.
Start typing – for example “balancer”, “SAP” or “pipe stress”.
