Safety Devices

The last link in the safety chain.

01 — Overview

Protection against inadmissible over- and underpressure decides the fate of plant and people in an upset. Safety valves, rupture discs or a combination act last – and their sizing demands corresponding care.

What matters with Safety Devices.

01

The component you hope never operates

Safety valves and rupture discs are the last link in the safety chain. They act only when everything else has failed – and must then work first time. That role demands a different level of care in sizing than any other component.

02

The scenario first, then the valve

What is being protected against: external fire, loss of cooling, blocked outlet, thermal expansion? Each scenario leads to a different relief flow. We analyse your system fully and size for the governing case – not the convenient one.

03

Safety valve, rupture disc or both

Combining a rupture disc with a safety valve protects the valve from the medium and allows tight operation – at the cost of response behaviour. We choose the type that suits your medium, your plant and your maintenance options.

04

A second pair of eyes, too

You have a quotation or an existing system and want to know whether the sizing holds? We review it critically and document traceably what fits and what does not.
