Frequently asked questions about the Articulated Rope Unit
When is the articulated rope unit the right design?
When you have to reach far out and lower deep. It combines the obstacle clearance of the articulated arm with the long stroke of the rope – the right answer for deep vessels and machines with a tall build.
Ceiling trolley or suspended column?
The ceiling trolley travels on a rail and serves a line; the suspended column is fixed and slews. Which fits depends on whether several stations are served – and on what the roof will carry.
Can it join against a stop?
Only to a limited extent. The articulated arm absorbs lateral forces, but the rope at its end does not. For demanding joining tasks a unit with a rigid lifting axis is the better choice.
